Well, it’s official. This blogger’s holiday season has begun! I suppose I should start writing out my lists, decking my halls, and baking cookies, because Dave Barnes has released a Christmas album and it’s more than enough to get the yuletide cheer up and ready to party under the mistletoe!
The album, titled “Very Merry Christmas”, features a few covers of holiday classics such as “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, among many original tracks which display Barnes’ skillful songwriting abilities, no doubt having crafted instant seasonal hits.
If you’re interested in having a “Very Merry Christmas”, you can find the album available for download on iTunes as well as on DaveBarnes.com. Currently, iTunes is featuring the 11 tracks for $6.99, however if you purchase the record from the official Barnes website, there are several packages available which provide not only the digital downloads, but the cd itself along with special merchandise options at elevated prices starting at $10. To sweeten the deal, the first 500 to purchase the album from the website will receive their copies autographed and the first 250 to purchase a package containing a Dave Barnes Christmas ornament will find their ornaments signed as well.
