Kate is currently appearing as Mia on the CW television show One Tree Hill (Tuesday nights, 8/7 Central) – there will be a crossover episode of Life Unexpected (Tuesday nights, 9/8 Central) on October 12th, where Kate’s character Mia will be appearing at a concert with Sarah McLachlan.
Kate’s cover of Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Wanna Be” can be heard over the opening credits of One Tree Hill.
Kate can also be seen in this month’s InStyle Magazine in an ad for Oakley (on p. 318), shilling a special-edition pair of sunglasses, $20 of each purchase will go directly to the Young Survival Coalition in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Kate recently returned from a week-long trip to La Chureca, Nicaragua, where she traveled as part of Lacrosse the Nations, an international humanitarian organization that utilizes play and sport to provide education, mentorship, hope and opportunity to children living in impoverished communities worldwide.
