Pop sensation Hanson will play a surprise show Thursday night at Pappy & Harriet’s Palace in Pioneertown.
The band of brothers, best known for the 1997 hit “MMMBop,” will be dropping in during the Poison Okies show, according to Pappy & Harriet’s.
The time of Hanson’s performance has not yet been announced.
“MMMBop” was one of the biggest debut singles of all time, reaching number one in 27 countries. Their major label debut album, “Middle Of Nowhere,” earned three Grammy nominations.
Hanson’s fifth studio album, “Shout It Out,” will be released June 8, delivering a powerful dose of soulful, R&B-flavored pop-rock.
Sharing the stage that night will be The Poison Okies, originally from San Francisco, then re-formed in Pioneertown. In addition to rootsy originals, the Poison Okies also do arrangements of classic rarities from the 1960’s and early 1970’s.
The show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
