By | September 24, 2008

he Hanson brothers have come a long way from Tulsa, Okla. Their 1997 mega hit Mmmbop paved the way for their current success. But these days their catchy pop tune and long locks are a part of the past. They have a new hit on their hands and goal on their minds.

Inspired by their 2006 trip to Africa, Issac, Taylor, and Zac released the song “The Great Divide” on iTunes. Its proceeds go towards their new goal: preventing HIV and Aids in Africa.

But that’s not all. Hanson has also provided 50,000 pairs of shoes to people living in poor communities around the continent.

In addition to producing their own music under their label “3CG Records,” they’ve written a new book about their experience.

The Hanson brothers dropped by the FOX 4 News studio and discussed the hope they have for those living in Africa. Watch the video in the sidebar of this story to see their complete interview.
