Give A Little Remix Context

In conjunction with the release of the “Give A Little” single, HANSON is launching a remix challenge in partnership with SoundCloud. Anyone can register on SoundCloud, get access to the stem files of the song and submit their mix to the band. Tracks posted through SoundCloud to the remix challenge page will be voted on by the public with the winning mixes joining Questlove (The Roots) and RAC (Andre Allen Anjos) on the upcoming UK digital single release of “Give A Little” in late April.

HANSON SET TO PERFORM AT SXSW

TUESDAY MARCH 15TH NEW YORK – Today begins the final week of the SXSW Conference, with HANSON slated to perform (Sat Mar 19th) as one of the most anticipated acts of the festival. Amidst a flurry of activity in the music world, the indie pop rock trio are excited to announce the release of the music video for their new single “Give A Little.” Following the massive success of the band’s music video for their previous single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’,” a lively homage to the classic film The Blues Brothers that quickly garnered over three million views online and climbed into the top 10 on VH1’s Top 20 Countdown, HANSON has delivered an explosively exuberant dance party that matches perfectly the upbeat attitude of “Give A Little” and the expression it inspires. With dancers and people of every kind, the video even features toddler break-dancing by Isaac and Taylor’s youngest children.

The soulful and emotive “Give A Little” (being released on iTunes on April 5, 2011) is the second single from HANSON’s critically acclaimed fifth album, Shout It Out – produced and written solely by the band, capturing the soul-inspired song-craft they are best known for and released on their own independent 3CG Records.

The album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard independent charts, has received much critical acclaim – Billboard said that Shout It Out represents some of the band’s “most soulful work ever committed to record.” The single will be released in a variety of formats, featuring remixes by Questlove and RAC in addition to the radio mix and alternative video cuts which were inspired by the mixes, making the iTunes bundle a must have for HANSON’s devout fans.

Shout It Out was written and produced by HANSON, augmented with special guests: Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt, who played on some of Motown’s greatest hits, as well as horn arranger Jerry Hey, who worked with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Earth, Wind and Fire and many more.
