What is the very first memory of Hanson that you have?
I remember hearing MMMBop on the radio and falling in love with it. I remember the first time I saw them on a magazine cover and begging my parents to buy it. LOL
How many times have you seen Hanson in concert? Favorite concert memory?
8 concerts and counting… My favorite memory is going to my very first MOE and watching them perform at The Hop Jam. I was able to be in the front row and one of the pictures that was taken came out in the new paper. There I was front row 🙂 That’s my absolute favorite memory of a Hanson concert.
What is your favorite Hanson song and why?
MMMBop because it’s the song that made me fall in love with them as a band. And also the meaning of the song. It’s about lasting friendships and lasting relationship.s “You have so many relationships in this life. Only one or two will last.” “So hold on to the ones who really care cause in the end they’ll be the only ones there.” It is so crazy how now it shows how many loyal fans they still have that have stuck by them and stayed true through it all. The ones who really care.
Why do you like/love Hanson?
The music they write never fails to have a way of connecting with me or speaking to me in one way or another. They have a song “Dancing in the Wind” that says “This music is a place to hide” and for me those lyrics are so true. I have been able to turn to the music in any time whether it be a hard time or a happy time. I can always turn to it and hide. It’s a happy place I love going to. And the concerts never disappoint me at all.
How long have you been a Hanson fan?
Since 1997.
Why should you be Fan of the Month?
Because I have been a very loyal fan from the beginning. I even own Boomerang the first CD prefame from 1994. LOL I’ve never turned my back on them and I am constantly saving money for the next time I get to travel or go to a local place just to see them.
