Get this song out of my head!

When your favorite band or artists puts out a single that sticks with you throughout the day you don’t mind it too much. However, when it’s an awful pop song, it could drive you crazy.

On the fifth anniversary of Carly Rae Jepsen releasing “Call Me Maybe,” we take a look at some of the catchiest and most annoying hit songs ever recorded.

NOTE: In case some of these songs get trapped in your brain, you can try things like listening to the song all the way through, reading the lyrics or even Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

Hanson – “Mmmbop”

Before Eiffel 65 introduced the world to their jibberish song, Hanson launched themselves into pop culture with “Mmmbop.”

If you thought the chorus for “Blue” made no sense, check out what it was on “Mmmbop.”

“Mmmbop, ba duba dop/Ba du bop, ba duba dop/Ba du bop, ba duba dop/Ba du, yeah/Mmmbop, ba duba dop/Ba du bop/ ba du dop/Ba du bop/ba du dop/Ba du, yeah.”

Who would’ve thought a song that sounded like it was being sang to babies would go on to be a mega hit.

The song went on to be No. 1 in 27 countries in 1997 thanks to it’s poppy, upbeat sound which was sang by three teenagers.
